Merit Award Winners
On an annual basis there are a number of Merit Awards presented. All these are shown below
The Christine Bray Award
This was first presented in 1988 and was awarded in recognition of outstanding dedication to the sport. Since 2009 it has been awarded to the cadet making the most progress during the season.

The Geoff Underwood Award
First presented in 1974 this award is awarded annually to the Junior Boy making the most progress during the year.

The Glenn Miller Special Merit Award
This award was first given in 1987 and was awarded in recognition of special service over an extended period.

The John Butcher Memorial Award
Presented in 1978, donated by the Hull YPI Table Tennis Club, is awarded to the person who has rendered outstanding service to the Association during the season.

The Maureen Kynman Award
First presented in 1970 and awarded to the Junior Girl making the most progress during the season.

The Manas Mallik Merit Awards
In 2013 Manas Mallik very generously provided the Association with 4 new trophies. These are to be presented to the players in each of the four divisions who have recorded the best percentage over the full season with the provision that they have played at least 70% of the matches available.
